MultiNo®-M/S/M, the patented opposed jet mill, means milling, separating and mixing with only one system. It solves special tasks in one go, e.g. a change of particle size distribution of ceramic and chemical powders (toners, pigments). Operating continuously, the mill achieves both the desired particle size curve and the removal of dust.
Example: When a particle size distribution of 5–50 μm is required, MultiNo®-M/S/M defines a sharp top cut of <50 μm and, at the same time, eliminates the 0–5 μm grains fraction. Formerly three processing phases (classification, micronisation, classification) – NOLL has minimized them to just one single milling/classification step.
In this fineness range, NOLL offers a unique processing solution – and hitherto the best results on the market: micronisation with impact whirl mill DemiNo® and online dust removal through dynamic air classifier SeparaNo®. Our DemiNo® – the mill with three patents! – takes on even hardest materials, in deagglomeration up to Mohs 9. Minerals, chemical products, synthetic gypsum, silica and many, many more.
In processing polymers, DemiNo® achieves such narrow particle size curves that dust removal becomes unnecessary. In the past, four processing steps were needed to achieve this result: milling and classifying two times each. Today, one micronisation/classification procedure does the job. Very few fine particles remain, nothing gets lost in the process – you gain a valuable product in its entirety.
