A pioneering solution, even for hardest stuff
DemiNo®’s applications range from enhancing the value of organic material – foodstuffs such as corn or chick peas – to the processing of ceramic products and minerals (Clay, Limestone). Abrasive and sticky products, too… The system easily copes even with extremely hard and coarse materials, where other comparable mills surrender. The system also excels in the ultra-fine processing of metal oxides, and in milling dust-explosive powders.
Longer service life of impact elements
The DemiNo® rotor is easily adaptable to specific product or process requirements, for example by choosing from a variety of impact elements used. The options include elements made of hard metal. The mill’s rotor can be operated both clockwise and counterclockwise. Automatic rotor direction change reduces and distributes wear on both sides of the elements, considerably increasing their service life.
High-tech weight reduction of impact elements
“Our spirit of invention is unstoppable”, declares NOLL’s managing director Bettina Noll. “We always find ways to render our premium processing systems yet more economical. For instance via optimized material characteristics. Usually, hard-metal impact elements are rather heavyweight. We decided to do something about it.”
Giving the mill drive a longer life
Together with partners, the powder processing specialist managed to manufacture hard-metal impact elements with lower material density. Thus, the elements have become more lightweight – without losing any of their abrasive qualities. “Through this high-tech weight reduction we have further minimized the load on the mill bearing, giving it a longer life”, explains the company’s managing director.
