WORKING PRINCIPLE MILLING
From the big bag station, the feed material enters the hopper of the gravimetrical dosing unit. Through a timing flap, it is continuously fed into the milling chamber, where it is fluidized by compressed air from the grinding nozzles facing each other. Colliding at high speed, the particles are reduced in size. An upward current transports the milled product to the internal classifying unit where the specially designed NOLL classifying wheel separates the fine from the coarse particles. The desired powder fineness and precise top cut particle size are controlled by adjusting the wheel’s rotational speed.
The as yet unmilled material as well as the coarse particles returning from the classifier both flow back down into the fluidized product bed. The fine product – processed according to client specification – exits the machine through the tangential fines outlet to be packaged.
