SOLIDS exhibition in Dortmund/Germany, March 2023: After a slight restraint caused by the pandemic in the year before, this year’s trade show for the recycling industries has again attracted a large enthusiastic audience. In the spotlight: NOLL Processing Technology, the fine particle technology specialist known for its energy-efficient mill design and engineering. Because reducing energy costs was the principal concern on every visitor’s agenda.
Economical powder processing systems: the best future investment
“Companies today plan to invest in energy efficiency, in order to gain and maintain competitive advantages on their market”, says Christian Vochazer, NOLL project and sales manager: “In this evolutionary process, our impact whirl mill DemiNo® can make breakthrough contributions.” The system unites pin mill and whirlwind principles. A worldwide exclusive, multi-patented powder processing technology, available only at NOLL’s.
Fantastic energy saver: DemiNo® impact whirl mill
DemiNo® uses far less energy than other milling systems. Clients from a vast diversity of industries have discovered impact whirl mill technology as a pioneering solution and a real alternative to the energy-intensive jet mill systems.
Best of both worlds: premium processing AND reduced operating costs
SOLIDS has brought another steep rise in demand, sales manager Vochazer reports: “A great diversity of customers turn to us, ranging from the innovative start-up up to DAX-listed corporations. Many intend to replace their systems with our impact whirl mill technology. Because DemiNo® shows that you can have it all: find creative, premium-quality solutions for your processing wishes AND sustainably minimize operating costs.”
From chick peas to dust-explosives
DemiNo® is remarkably versatile. It suits almost any application and at SOLIDS, not only customers from the recycling industries were impressed. Applications range from enhancing the value of organic material – foodstuffs such as corn or chick peas – to the processing of ceramic products and minerals (soot, graphite). Abrasive and sticky products, too… DemiNo® even deals with extremely hard and coarse materials, where other mills surrender. The system also excels in the ultra-fine processing of metal oxides, and in milling dust-explosive powders.
Global innovation for R & D: ultra-compact laboratory system 1050
At the SOLIDS stand, NOLL also presented its latest engineering innovation: the multifunctional laboratory system 1050. Ultra-compact in design and fitted on a mobile cart, it fits through any standard door. The system is easy to use and clean. Equipped as dynamic classifier or opposed jet mill, the classifier and mill module can be changed in no time. The fines are directly filled into sample containers such as standard wide mouth sample jars. A pioneering concept worldwide. Cost-efficient, flexible and user-friendly like no other.
SOLIDS a complete success
The new laboratory system can be used for testing and small-quantity production in almost any field. A focus is for example the dust removal of metal or polymer powders used in additive manufacturing. At SOLIDS, several research institutes, universities and technical colleges have shown great interest, says NOLL sales manager Christian Vochazer and confirms: “Our appearance at the Dortmund trade show was a complete success. We thank all our visitors for being there and greatly appreciate their enthusiasm for creativity and innovation.”
